Plusieurs fonctions d\u00e9pendent de l\u2019activit\u00e9 biologique : les transferts des nutriments du sol \u00e0 la plante, la\ndissolution des min\u00e9raux issus de la roche m\u00e8re, la min\u00e9ralisation des mati\u00e8res organiques, la stabilisation\nde la structure du sol par la synth\u00e9tisation des substances organiques, la coh\u00e9sion des agr\u00e9gats et la\nformation de galeries pour a\u00e9rer et cr\u00e9er de la porosit\u00e9.\nL\u2019activit\u00e9 biologique a des cons\u00e9quences directes sur les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s physiques et chimiques des sols.\nLes sols abritent plus d\u2019un quart de toutes les esp\u00e8ces vivant sur Terre. On ne compte pas moins de 260\nmillions d\u2019individus par m2 de sol, soit une masse globale \u00e9quivalente \u00e0 12 vaches adultes par hectare. Une\ncommunaut\u00e9 diverse et vari\u00e9e d\u2019organismes du sol travaillant jour et nuit dans un remarquable effort de\ncoordination pour permettre la vie sur Terre.\nDans une zone de la taille d\u2019un terrain de football, les organismes du sol produisent chaque ann\u00e9e de\nl\u2019humus dont le poids peut \u00e9quivaloir \u00e0 celui de 25 voitures.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
